1857 cover to England, endorsed ‘Via Southampton’ with a 4a cancelled by a barred ‘17’ canceller. Red boxed INDIA PAID and INDIA UNPAID handstamps are on the front of the cover along with a red PAID 6 JY 1857 datestamp applied on arrival in England. ALLAHABAD 12 MAY 1857 dispatch and Bombay MY `21 1857 transit cancels are on the back. An appealing and very unusual cover with the two different boxed cachets.
