ALWAR. 1877 hand made cover from the Alwar State Jail with a vertical strip of three 1a brown (SG 2) tied by oval cancels. On the back are ‘ALWAR STATE JAIL’ handstamps. Faults as always found on these early covers but a very scarce item from this Jail. B.P.A. certificate.
