1922 cover to Island Bridge Depot, Dublin, with a Thom 2d cancelled BALLSBRIDGE 18 NO 22. On the back of the cover is a FIELD POST OFFICE / D. 41 / 18 NO 22 arrival c.d.s. These barrackes were just south of the River Liffy in Dublin. They were handed over to the Irish Defence Force on December 15 1922 when the British withdrew from Ireland. Very uncommon to find local mail going into the camp
