1922 cover to Whitechurch, Co. Cork, with a red CORK PAID 31 OC 22 cancel. The cover, which has the emblem of the Cork Harbour Commissioners on the backflap, was opened by the IRA and the had ‘I R A Censor’ written in pencil across the front. The cover was roughly opened by them at the upper left corner. Whitechurch is a small village 7 miles north of Cork.
