1923 cover with two 1d’s that was opened by the I.R. A. and resealed with a British ‘OFFICIALLY SEALED IN THE POST OFFICE’ label that has also been overprinted in Irish. A violet two line ‘RECOVERED FROM / RAIDED MAIL’ cachet is on both the front and back of the cover. An oval ‘OFFICE OF DIRECTOR OF INTELLIGENCE 9 MAR 1923’ cachet is on the front of the over. Fine and uncommon.
