1933 cover sent air mail to Viareggio, Italy, with a 2/6d, 5/-, 9d and 1d cancelled BAILE ATHA CLIATH 28 VII 33. A green oval Irish Valentia-Rome cachet applied to both the front and back of the cover have been crossed through, as has a m/s ‘via Velentia to Rome and the air mail label. Written in pencil at the base of the cover is ‘Cancelled Attempted Flight’. An interesting, and high franking cover.
