1777 folded letter to London, dated 24 December, with a DEAL / SHIP LRE handstamp and marked as answered 6 March 1778. The contents refer to the writers son and the death of his wife as well as giving an account of that years crops etc. He also says ‘Compliments to the Lodge’ so obviously has a Masonic connection.
