1870 cover to Lt. Colonel Kent at Portsmouth, England, endorsed ‘Per Mail from Jamaica, 9th Sept 1870’ with a pair of 6d deep violet each cancelled by a barred ‘A45’ cancel with a GORDON TOWN SP 8 70 despatch cancel on the reverse. Kingston SP 8 and Portsmouth SP 26 70 transit and arrival cancels are also on the back of the cover. An attractive cover from a well known correspondence, most of which went to him in India.
