1946 (26 March) ‘MAIL OF DISARMED MILITARY PERSONNEL’ Japanese soldiers’ post card from Matsuoka Toru, Singapore Changi, Ayabe Squadron Training Station, to Yoshikiyo Sakata, Kobe Local Support Office. The card has the red ‘Mail Of Disarmed ..etc’ cachet and the censor chop of the Civil Censor Department, Osaka, Japan, C.C.D. J-4525. Due to difficulties in transporting Japanese Military personnel back home after the War, they were held in camps until repatriated. The writer says he is feeling depressed by the slow repatriation progress. A very scarce card from this Camp in Singapore.
