1847 outer wrapper to Bordeaux, France, endorsed “pr Pauline Houghton.” A large MAURITIUS POST OFFICE MA 1 1847 dispatch datestamp is on the back along with London JU 8 & 10 transit and Bordeaux 14 JUIN 47 arrival cancels. On the front is a blue COVE / SHIP LETTER h/s and a red boxed COLONIES / & c ART 13 cachet. Possibly the only recorded cover from Mauritius with the Cove Ship Letter cachet.
