1887 envelope to J. F. Celliers, Pretoria, (the printer of the 1870’s Transvaal stamps) with two New Republic 1d’s, blue granite paper without date (one a little soiled), paying the internal rate and a pair of Transvaal 1d’s paying for the onward transmission outside the New Republic. The New Republic stamps have been cancelled with a Vryheid circular ‘Arms’ handstamp, the Transvaal stamps with circular numeral ‘11’ cancels of Utrecht. On the back of the cover are UTRECHT AP 22 87 and G.P.O. Transvaal AP 24 87 cancels. A few faults but a very scarce cover to Celliers.
