1886 envelope to Pretoria with a New Republic 2d and a Transvaal 2d both tied by VRYHEID NIEUWE REPUBLIEK 12 MAR 86 oval cancels. The Transvaal stamp has also been cancelled with a ‘1’ in concentric rings of Pretoria. A Utrecht MA 13 86 transit cancel is on the front and back of the cover,and a Pretoria MAR 18 86 arrival c.d.s. is on the back. The addressee J. F. Collier was the printer of the Transvaal stamps from 1875. A fine and rare cover.
