1854 cover to Ayr, endorsed ‘Pr “Antelope” with a pair and single 1/-‘s tied by barred cancels. This 3/- rate pays a six times letter rate. The stamps have clear to just touched margins. A SYDNEY DE 8 1854 dispatch cancel is on the back along with an Ayr 17 AP 1855 and Gravnole 18 AP 1855 transit and arrival cancels. On the front of the cover is a Paid Liverpool Ship AP 16 1855 transit cancel. An extremely fine and rare cover, ex ‘Risvold’.
