1881 cover sent registered via Brindisi to Brighton, England, with a ‘diadem’ 8d and a pair of 2d tied by a line of bars cancels. A violet REGISTERED SYDNEY JY 2 81 dispatch cancel is on the front, as well as a London 16 AU 81 transit cancellation. A Brighton 16 AU arrival cancel is on the back. Part of the backflap missing but this in no way detracts from it being a most appealing cover.
