1863 cover to Hull endorsed ‘via Marseilles’ with a pair of 2d and a 6d correctly paying the 10d rate, cancelled by barred ‘1’ obliterators with an AUCKLAND OC 5 1863 dispatch cancel on the back. A Hull DE 14 63 arrival c.d.s. is also on the back of the cover that went to Sydney and then departed there on October 22 on the S.S. Bombay. At Alexandria it went on the S.S. Vectis, arriving Marseille 12 December and then on to London arriving there on 18th December. .
