1857 envelope to England endorsed ‘Paid’ and with a red ‘6’ marking, both on the front. On the back is a PORT VICTORIA NO 9 1857 dispatch cancel and an Alresford FE 7 1858 arrival c.d.s. Interestingly, by that time Port Victoria had a Paid at Port Victoria ‘crown’ datestamp but did not use it on this letter.
