1941 censored envelope to Cape Town, South Africa, forwarded on arrival, with a pair of 4c and two 1c WAR TAX stamps all cancelled SANDAKAN 13 OCT 1941. A red ‘Passed for Transmission 10’ censor handstamp is on the front of the cover. On the back is a Cape Town 24 XI 41 arrival c.d.s. The cover is a little roughly opened at the top but the 1c War Tax is a scarce stamp on cover and South Africa is a most uncommon destination.
