c1906 picture post card (Basutoland Mtd Police) to Germany with a 1d tied by a violet MARSEILLES / LADYBRAND undated parcel seal. A rare item, the first time I have seen this seal used as a canceller. Marseilles was a Railway Station Telegraph Office (R.S.T.O.) in the Ladybrand district in the eastern part of the country near the Basutoland border.
