1905 picture post card to Natal with a ½d tied by a fine strike of the large violet double oval GROOTHOEK, O.R.C. 29 AUG 1905. Harrismith 29 AUG and Newcastle AU 31transit cancels are on the card, on the picture side is a Dannhauser AU 31 05 arrival cancel. Groothoek was a small village in the Harrismith District about 40 miles east of Bloemfontein. A very fine example of this scarce cancellation.
