1949 postal stationery envelope that has an On Pakistan Government Service ‘Economy Slip’ affixed to the back and been re-used to NDOLA, NORTHERN RHODESIA. A 1½a Service stamp has been added and cancelled 14 JUN 49. Underpaid, the cover has a tax marking but it appears that this was not collected. Across the lower left corner is an ‘Administrative Officer / Office of the Doctor General / Medical Services, Pakistan / KARACHI’ violet cachet. A very uncommon destination for mail from Pakistan.
