1908 registered five times rate cover for between 2½oz and 3oz, with 1/4½d paying 2½d x 5 postage (1/0½) and 4d registration. All the stamps, with the exception of 2 ½d’s, have the Papua overprint and all have been cancelled PORT MORESBY 8 MAY 08. Thursday Island JU 10, Brisbane 25 MAY and London and Manchester 7 JY 08 transit and arrival cancels are on the back. It would appear as thought the sender started putting on stamps and kept adding until he got to the correct 1/4½d rate!. A most interesting cover.
