G. B. WW II. 1943 censored cover endorsed ‘On Active Service’ addressed to Bugle, Cornwall, that was in the Mount Pleasant Post Office in London when it was bombed on 18 June 1943. Considerable damage was done to the Post Office and mail was destroyed, damaged or delayed. This cover has a violet single line cachet ‘DAMAGED BY ENEMY ACTION’.
