1865 cover posted to a U S ship “COMODORE” in Morris, Virginia, or Else Where, with a 6d yellow-green, perf. 11½ x 12 cancelled by a barred obliterator. A double circle PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND JY 15 1865 dispatch cancel is on the back along with a Charlestown Mass. JAN 16 66 datestamp and a boxed RECEIVED / JUN 14 / AT BOSTON MASS (11 months after it was posted!) A three line ‘NOT / CALLED / FOR’ h/s is on the front of the cover. A most interesting cover. Greene Certificate that states 'stamp damaged' - crease across the lower section.
