MORETON BAY. 1855 double rate wrapper to Sydney, endorsed at the top ‘p. Boomerang’ with two New South Wales 2d tied by barred cancels. Inside there is a m/s 10th April 1855 Brisbane. A Sydney AP 19 1855 arrival cancel is on the back. From 1854 New South Wales stamps were used in Brisbane and applied by Townsend & Co. until the introduction of Queensland stamps in 1860 when Queensland became its’ own Territory, and not part of New South Wales.
