1901 envelope sent registered to ‘Tattersall’s’ in Hobart, Tasmania, with a pair of 2d and a 1d tied by barred ‘327’ cancels. A Registered Mungindi h/s is on the front of the cover, MUNGINDI N.S.W. FE 23 01 and Hobart FE 28 01 datestamps are on the back. Filled in spike holes, as always found on mail to Tattersall’s. To the south west of Brisbane, Mungindi is a village located in both Queensland and New South Wales, with half of the village on the northern side of the Barwon River in Queensland, the other part south of the river in New South Wales.
