1911 1d postal card to Germany cancelled ELDORADO MINE 10 JAN 1911. Just outside of Chinoi, the Eldorado Mine was the largest gold producing mine in Rhodesia during the early 1900’s. It opened in the mid 1890’s but by 1919 it had become unviable and virtually closed. The post office opened in 1907 but changed its’ name in 1920 to Eldorado.
