1908 1d postal card to England cancelled by the very scarce KASEMPA N. W. RHODESIA 16 NOV 1908 datestamp. Runners took the mail from Kasempa to Mumbwa 210 kms away, taking 6 days. From there runners took the mail to Broken Hill 190 kms distance, taking 5 days. From there mail went by train to Livingstone, a 32 hour train journey. This card took 18 days to get from Kasempa to Livingstone where it received a 4 DEC transit cancel. A most interesting card from this remote village, 620 kms west of Lusaka.
