1894 cover to Germany with a 1d, 2d and 4d tied by TULI AU 11 94 and barred ‘825’ cancels. Cape Town AU 18 and Cleve 11.9.94 transit and arrival cancels are on the back. The name Tuli comes from the local ‘utilili’ – the place of dust. Although the numeral cancels are not of the highest quality, an early cover with this ‘825’ canceller, first
recorded in May 1894.
