1894 cover sent registered to London with a Samoa ½d and a pair of 2½d’s tied by APIA cancels. The cover transited through the USA and on arrival in San Francisco a US 10c and 3c were affixed and cancelled. A Registered AUG 31 1894 San Francisco h/s, a New York registration label and a London 15 SEP 94 arrival c.d.s. are on the front of the cover. On the back is a fine strike of the scarce ‘R FEE PAID’ h/s, applied in San Francisco, and New York 9-6-94 transit and London SP 15 arrival cancels. A fine and rare cover. Odenweller Reference # 94
