1914 German 10pf postal card overprinted G. R. I. 1d to England cancelled by the very scarce German MALUA SAMOA 16.11.14 canceller. Long message on the back in which the writer says ‘Everything is censored so I won’t write anything about things out here lest it should not be approved ! Malua is a small village on the Samoan island of Upolu. The name originates from the Samoan word "Maluapapa" which is translated 'shelter under the rock'. It is located on the north-western coast of the island. Mail is rarely seen from here.
