1915 picture post card from Tokyo, Japan, cancelled 8 MAR 15, to Weobley, Herefordshire, but redirected to Redditch on arrival, that was in an incident in the Atlantic Ocean, probably a ship torpedoed. A red two line ‘RECEIVED AT LIVERPOOL / DAMAGED BY SEA WATER’ cachet has been applied on arrival. Despite a number of covers known from this incident, no information has come to light to date as to exactly what happened other than the incident must have happened late March or early April that year.
