1944 censored cover sent air mail to a P.O.W. at Jinsen Camp, Chosen, (the Japanese name for Korea) with a ‘bantam’ 3d and 6d cancelled DURBAN 19 VII 44. The cover has been censored in South Africa and resealed with bilingual tape, and censored again on arrival in Korea with a rectangular cachet in red and a small ‘han’ of Isobe in scarlet. A rare cover to a P.O.W. in Korea, one of only three recorded from South Africa. An important cover for any serious collector of Bantam stamps.
