1915 censored picture post card (Bethanien) to Jeppestown, Johannesburg, endorsed ’30-4-15 On Active Service, with a fine strike of the boxed Field Post Office ‘37’ 16 MAY 1915 datestamp. No. 37 was at KUIBIS, when it opened there on 14 May 1915. The card has a bilingual censor strike at the base. We lost a lot of men …… It took 17 days for the card, from the time of writing, to get into the postal system. A scarce F.P.O. numeral cancel.
