1828 (12 December) entire letter, written if French, to France, headed ‘Soufriere, St Lucia, endorsed on the front ‘P. Paid, 3/4’ which has been changed to ‘3/6’. A London 28 FE 1829 transit cancel is on the front, and a feint red 'ANGLETERRE' straight line h/s. On the back is a partial ST LUCIA JA 18 cancel as well as a French FE 29 transit cancel. A fine and rare early St Lucia letter.
