1870 ‘Polignac’ outer wrapper to France with a 4d and 1/- tied by a barred ‘A10’ obliterator with a red ST. VINCENT AU 10 70 datestamp alongside. An oval ‘PD’, red charge marking ‘1/3,’ London Paid and Calais transit datestamp are all on the front of the wrapper. A very scarce and attractive franking, ex H.D. Bessemer (1970) and Jaffe (2007) collections.
