1925 Alan Cobham Survey Flight post card that has a green London Cape Town Flight Special Mail label tied by an oval IMPERIAL AIRMAIL 18-11-25 datestamp. The card was posted with a 3m and 5m tied by a KHARTOUM 23 DE 25 canceller. An interesting message on the back, dated 22/12/25 that has been signed by Cobham. “The Wadi Halfa – Aswan air links by seaplane following the Nile all way could easily be done in 2 hours. The fastest boat downstream takes 24 hours and 36 hours upstream”. A very fine and rare card, believed unique.
