LIVERPOOL 1963. The remnants of a badly burnt cover to Rugby, forwarded in an ambulance cover with a Wilding 3d cancelled LIVERPOOL 27 MAY 1963. An official Head Post Office, Liverpool, explanatory letter accompanied the charred remnants saying it had been damaged by fire and water and dated 24 May. The fire started on the train that left Hartford Station for Crew on May 19th. This was the fourth such incident in that area in a year. A rare item from this incident.
