1894 cover sent locally with a bisected 2d olive-bistre paying the 1d rate. The stamp has been cancelled PRETORIA 14 DEC 94. The cover has a couple of light folds that do not affect the stamp. In the 1880’s an 1890’s there were numerous times when ½d and 1d stamps ran out and other values were overprinted. Bisects are also known throughout that period. R.P.S. certificate.
