1903 charred cover that contained a Christmas card, addressed to Silica, (Minnesota?) that has a two line cachet ‘DAMAGED IN BIG 4 WRECK / AT MORO ILL. JAN 9 03. This cachet not recorded or illustrated by Hoggarth and Gwynn, but a cachet that presumably is from the same wreck , which reads ‘THIS LETTER IN WRECK AT /BETH ALTO. ILL. JAN 9 03.’ An interesting and rare cover.
