1895 2d envelope to England, endorsed ‘R.M.S. Orotava’, uprated with a 2½d, ½d, 1d and 2d, paying an 8d rate, the stamps cancelled REGISTEED MELBOURNE JU 11 95. A London 15 JY transit cancel is on the front, on the back is a Nottingham 16 JY 95 arrival c.d.s. In February 1897 the ‘Orotava’ grounded off Perim Island in the Red Sea. Minor cover faults but an interesting franking.
