1893 1½d on 2d post card to Pembang, Netherlands Indies, cancelled by a HAMILTON OC 20 93 barred duplex ‘46’ canceller. The card was intended for use to the United Kingdom but the ‘FOR THE UNITED KINGDOM’ & ‘By the long sea route’ have been erased with red ink, and 'UNIVERSAL POSTAL UNION' has been printed across the top. Batavia 24. 11 and Semarkan 27.11 transit and Pembang 27.11.93. arrival cancels are on the card. A very scarce card to an unusual destination. Fine.
