1899 envelope that was originally intended to have been sent registered but then changed to ordinary mail with the registration handstamp and the registration blue lines crossed through. Five Leeward Islands ½d’s have been affixed, correctly paying the sea mail rate for a ½ oz letter, cancelled by barred ‘A01’ obliterators with a VIRGIN ISLANDS JU 19 99 datestamp beneath.
